Wolfowitz-inspired placards. The rally against the World Bank and IMF in Washington DC last Saturday did not have a massive turnout, but there were some creative slogans in reaction to the Wolfowitz appointment. They included "a wolf at the door". "Wolfowitz is a war criminal". And "Mr Wolfowitz: tear down this bank". Also: "we're not crying wolf, we're decrying Wolfowitz". Could this be the first time 'decrying' has been used on a placard? There were some people dressed like wherewolves, with fangs, in black suits, with black umbrellas, etc. Some photos have been posted by the Global Justice Ecology Project. Press coverage included an article in the Washington Times. Alex Wilks ~ April 22, 2005
