A busy month at worldbankpresident.org. In the interests of transparency - and because we feel like doing some self-promotion - here are the stats for this blog. In the month since we restarted it - after putting it on ice for two years - there have been 32 million hits and around 90,000 unique visitors. A huge number of journalists are using the site as a source (a priority original aim), and roles have become interestingly reversed. Normally I have to work hard to persuade media outlets to publish my NGO's material. In recent days, however, TV channels, major newspapers and others have been lobbying us to ensure worldbankpresident.org covers their output - and fast. There was even a funny episode on Thursday when I told the Wall Street Journal I was not going to link to one of their pieces because it was behind their subscription firewall. Within 5 minutes they'd made it open access! People who like web stats can take a look at the following for themselves.
Please do continue to send your invaluable tips and inputs, your encouragement (via e-mail and the comments), and also of course to spread the word re the issue and the site via e-mail, weblinks, etc.
